Below is a WIP screen of my final school project. (Inspired by the Shadow of Colossus style)
Modeling done in 3dsmax textured with photoshop.

I tried wireframe but it didn't look very great. So the occlusion will give an idea of the polygons.
The project is based on the capacity of "next-gen" systems. So there is a lot of polys! (138 000 polys)
For the 'skybox' I used a cylinder and a very high-res tileable sky picture I found on the net(4096x1024).
